With over 85 years of tailoring excellence, SCABAL operates across 65 international markets, with flagship stores in cities like Paris, Shanghai, and London’s iconic Savile Row. Having never sold online before, SCABAL took a bold step into eCommerce.
However, achieving multichannel growth required a digital platform that balanced convenience, choice and simplicity with the refined, personalised service this prestigious brand is known for.We partnered with SCABAL to bring their made-to-order experience online and develop a digital presence that elevates their storied craftmanship.

SCABAL’s entry into eCommerce presented a unique challenge: translate an in-person, high-touch tailoring experience into an intuitive digital journey that resonates with both their usual audience and those unaware of their value proposition.
A thorough discovery phase revealed the need for individual customisation and user interface development. The made-to-order service was a cornerstone of SCABAL’s offering; however, it was not supported natively by Shopify, so some custom-built components were in order. For example, we introduced an Order a Swatch service - allowing customers to feel the fabric's texture and true colours in natural light and find the perfect choice for their garment.
Our design prioritised simplicity and elegance, ensuring the customisation process – from selecting fabrics to adding embroidery – was easy to navigate, while preserving SCABAL’s distinguished brand identity and reputation for exceptional craftsmanship.
